VoIP users have an option of customizing their idle screens. Customization is not terribly difficult, but some qualification is necessary. The first requirement is a proper phone; My^D_LLURTH recommends and leases the Grandstream GXP 2000.

Improvements require communication. D^Geek keeps saying this, but nobody seems to understand that the format for contributing at MyDLL URTH just works. There is nothing complicated about adding a post in groups, in forums, on the front page, or as an independent page.

So what is the perceived "difficulty" ? Apparently, we need specifics. Just what is missing?

Anyway, we have a problem. The mail server account and addresses are correct in the mailto.pl script. Rather, they are declared correctly in config.pl and read into mailto.pl script variables.

In an unfortunate turn of events, the auction site is not sending email after the web-site pointer was corrected. I may be bald in a couple of days, but Matzo has a history of paying well.

During the recent restructuring of content, I disabled contribution at My^DLLURTH from mere mortals. Since yipeee and I have administrator role assigned, I thought the lack of contribution was simply from lack of public interest. Our traffic statistics continue to be respectable, but even more provocative articles were not getting comments. Finally, I got an email from one of our more opinionated members.

Matz, as I like to call her, is an animal rehabilitator and you should visit her sites. Start by going to Matzo's Net. From there, you should find many interesting tangents. I am most fond of Dory & the Orphans.

There's no real science to My^DLLURTH contribution. However, more than once, I've heard excuses from would-be contributors, like : "I can't contribute on your site. I don't know enough about web design." No less acceptable reason for not contributing exists. If you can write coherently, you can make better contributions than I can. Yet, many want to know the "tricks" I use; so, I show my hand.

I've been using Firefox for many years now. The only thing I've been using Internet Explorer for is to watch videos at CNN.com and other places that use the embedded Windows Media Player as WMP doesn't work in Firefox....or didn't until I found this little gem of an add-on.

The MyDLL URTH content now includes news feeds from a few sites with content of interest to urthling viewers. As feed aggregation evolves, some content may become unavailable; it is unfortunate that some feeds place restriction on how receiving sites may redistribute their public information.

Recently added content comes from Microsoft, LS.net, and Senior TechnickelShack. I am looking for sites with content of localized relevance and without subscription requirement.
